Bloquear usuarios con base en su dirección IP puede parecer un viejo truco, pero es poco efectivo pues tiende a crear demasiados falsos positivos. Lo mejor es recaudar información acerca de la conexión de una persona con base en su IP. A eso es a lo que llamamos análisis de IP.

El proceso de análisis de IP es un proceso de enriquecimiento de datos que te permite recolectar información acerca del uso de VPN, proxys, conexiones Tor, uso de centros de datos, así como datos de ISP y geolocalización. Puedes obtener particularmente precisa sobre la geolocalización, e incluso visualizarla con nuestro widget de Google Maps.

La clave es obtener más información y utilizarla como parte de tu puntuación de riesgo manual o automatizada. Puedes decidir si un usuario de Tor o VPN es riesgoso o ignorar ciertos parámetros.
