We have successfully completed our SOC 2 audit, demonstrating once again our commitment to meeting the highest data security requirements.
SOC 2 compliance demonstrates that SEON maintains a high level of information security. Service Organization and Controls 2 (SOC 2) Reports are assurance reports which provide an industry-wide acknowledgment that a company adheres to the so-called “trust service principles” such as security, privacy, confidentiality, processing integrity, and availability.
SOC 2 is the “gold standard” security compliance for SaaS companies like SEON. Being SOC 2 compliant builds customer trust, and enhances the reputation of SEON Services. The certification also requires continuous maintenance, wich increases data security, the efficiency of internal processes, and promotes organizational compliance awareness.
There was no doubt we needed to go for SOC 2 compliance. Why? Because SOC 2 reports are harder to get and incredibly valuable.
Obtaining a SOC 2 report requires robust internal product development, security improvements, and long-lasting internal practices that ensure the security of customer data and the longevity of our business. This type of certification provides our customers with rational assurance and peace of mind that the controls are properly designed, in place, and effectively protecting high-risk client data.
SOC 2 is the gold standard for SaaS security compliance. It was codified by The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), requiring third-party auditors to validate internal controls with respect to information security and organization-wide quality assurance controls.
Commenting on SEON’s successful completion, Bence Jendruszák, COO at SEON, noted:
“Security, availability, and confidentiality are cornerstones of the SEON ethos. We are proud to announce that our dedication was validated by this successful SOC 2 certification. We hope it demonstrates how we take matters such as internal controls, reliability, or data protection as seriously as possible for our partners and customers.”
Better Security, Stronger Operations
The audit was conducted by a well-known international auditor firm. Over the past months, we’ve been working closely with the auditors providing them with all the information they needed, including SEON’s management, people operations, engineering, security, compliance, legal, project management, and even details of the company’s financial planning and processes.
The 59-page SOC 2 report will be available to our customers upon request. Other interested parties may also ask for a copy after signing a non-disclosure agreement.
Dedicated to Meeting the Highest Standards
Just like with our ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, this SOC 2 certification demonstrates our commitment to continuously improving the security of both our and our customers’ operations and data. Offering his final thoughts on the certification, Bence concluded:
“SEON’s mission has always been to build trust online by deploying the highest quality fraud and risk management tools. It is only fair that we should also hold our operations to the highest standards when it comes to meeting the most rigorous security compliance requirements.”
